Cairo Bus
The problem
The client was unsatisfied with the existing logo. It didn't reflect the brand's personality or communicate its values visually, and needed a complete redesign from the ground up.
The objective
Design a logo and visual identity that positions Cairo Bus as an affordable yet trustworthy transportation option — with a strong visual character that stands out and feels authentically Egyptian.
The approach
After an initial briefing with the client to understand his vision, target audience, and competitors, I developed a concept rooted in Cairo's transportation heritage. The identity draws on vintage Egyptian bus culture, incorporating old Cairo motifs to give the brand a nostalgic yet confident character — leaning into an "old is gold" aesthetic that the client strongly connected with.

Explorations
Before arriving at the final mark, several directions were explored — each pushing a different interpretation of the brand. These concepts were presented to the client and ultimately set aside in favor of a stronger, more unified solution.
